Once upon a time, a sparkly-princess-wannabe named Alvina Leder was born in the paradise State of Hawaii where it was always sunny and warm.  Then one day, she wondered what would it be like to live where a Polar Vortex could freeze all the water pipes in the house and cause ice cream to conveniently remain frozen outside of the freezer?  So, she moved 4,762 miles to the East Coast to find out.

Currently, Alvina lives in Washington, D.C., with her Prince Charming husband, four children, and a very rascal perma-pup named Ruffles Chips.  Over the years, Alvina has mastered 100 ways to eat ketchup, how to tame a teenager, and how to stretch a day into 28 hours.  She idolizes Pleakley, Kermit (When she was 5 years old, he was the guy she wanted to marry and even went as far as planned their wedding!), Betty Crocker, Iron Man, Cal Drogo, and Mr. Handy.  Her lucky number is six, her favorite color is red, and her favorite kind of house is a self-cleaning castle.  She loves red ladybugs, pink axolotls, and green geckos (because they kinda look like her one-time love, Kermie).  And her ultimate fantasy is to spend an entire winter doing nothing but eating high-calorie desserts, sleeping past 5:00 every morning, and reading good books at a secluded, fancy-schmancy hotel in the Rockies (minus any scary twins in the hallway).

When Alvina is not daydreaming about all things magical and marvelous, she is busy writing them down on her iPad.  Alvina is currently the author of several award-winning magical and marvelous books and has fantastic plans to create many more!

Jenn lives in Ontario, Canada with her three kids, two dogs, and husband. She spent more than seven years as a production editor and now works as an associate agent and a freelance editor. In her spare time, she can be found reading, writing, and still cheering for her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
